These days if you want to go anywhere, no matter what time of the day it is, you still have the option to call a ride from your smart phone. There are multiple options to do such act and the most well known ones are Uber and lyft. Today we want to talk about the man how founded the Lyft and his name is Logan Green. As always we will take a look at his life and the path he took to become one of the best entrepreneurs in the world.

Childhood and early days of Logan Green

Logan Green born on the early years of 1980’s and had a peaceful childhood and lived with his family in Los Angeles and to be fair there is not much interesting stuff for you guys that we can to talk about it here. He finished his studies in school just like any ordinary kid and finally got his Bachelor of economics back in 2006 from University of California, Santa Barbara. His first sparkles of business intelligent started in his college days and he started his fund project named Green initiative fund. He even worked as youngest director that the Santa Barbara Metropolitan Transit District has ever seen back then. His life after college went upward with a great pace and his first job was Sustainability Director at UCSB.

Its far to say that his childhood city was the main motivation for his later business approach. We all know that Los Angeles is a crowded place with heavy traffic and Logan Green couldn’t use a personal car so he came up with the idea of going for rides but accessibility was an issue for him. He took this chance and turned it into something amazingly well later.

Starting a new era

After sometime in less than one year from his graduation, he decided that he does not want to work for others. Logan Green and John Zimmer founded their first company named Zimride. This company was a ride sharing system and because of its affordability, got popular among college students extremely fast.

Soon after, they have decided to make go on a whole new level of business and he started buying small but comfortable cars such as Toyota Priuses. They started their own fleet for ride sharing program and soon after they had a lot of customers. After sometimes around 6 successful years, they finally started Lyft as their main ride hailing company and Logan Green acted as the head for this amazing new startup.  Right now Lyft has net worth more than 11 billion dollars and its all thanks to Logan Green and his trusted partner John Zimmer.
